Taking on new projects
Emmenra is an independent web design studio. I design and hand-code fast, distinctive websites for cafés, studios, clinics, shops and startups, from the first sketch to launch day.
Selected work
Each is a complete, self-initiated concept, designed and coded from scratch. Every one has the working features a real customer would use: booking, ordering, estimating, checkout. Open any of them and try it.

The whole site is a set of construction drawings: numbered sheets, a title block that follows you down the page, a schedule of projects with floor plans, a live daylight section, a fee calculation and site-visit booking.
Why it worksClients see your process and a ballpark fee before they call, so the inquiries you get are serious ones.
3DA quiet showroom: the sofa stands alone, full screen, in real-time 3D, with a gallery placard for the price. Size, fabric, legs and seat slide out from the side while the sofa stays in view, then a fit check makes sure it clears the room and doorway.
Why it worksShoppers who can see and size the exact product buy with confidence: bigger orders, fewer returns.
NewThe whole site is one long order ticket. An oven dial set to the time of day shows what's fresh (turn it to see any hour), the menu is an order pad with a running total, plus a pastry box builder, pickup slots and a punch card.
Why it worksA live “fresh now” board gives regulars a reason to drop in, and pickup ordering shortens the line.
NewThe homepage is a cutaway house: tap whatever is broken to see its flat price and add it to a work order. Plus a price book, a ZIP code service-area check, an emergency guide and booking with photos.
Why it worksHomeowners see a fair price before anyone shows up, so they book online instead of calling around for quotes.
NewTap a tooth, pick a symptom and see the likely treatment, visits and price. Plus a comfort menu for nervous patients, a monthly payment-plan calculator and booking.
Why it worksClear prices and a gentle tone win over nervous patients who would otherwise put off booking.
NewEvery program is a bumper plate. Load plates onto the barbell (tap or drag) and the timetable fills with those classes. Plus a program finder that loads the bar for you, a one-rep-max calculator and a free trial pass with a QR code.
Why it worksBooking a class takes seconds, and the free pass turns curious visitors into trial members.
NewThe site is an issue of a fashion magazine: a cover whose lines are the menu, then two-page spreads. Build a multi-service visit with live timing and stylist pricing, preview a hair color before it's mixed, and design a downloadable gift card.
Why it worksClients plan their whole visit online, so bookings arrive complete and gift cards sell around the clock.

You scroll down the mountain: an altimeter counts from the 14,150 ft summit to the cabins at 8,200 ft. Then a two-month availability calendar with weekend and season pricing, taxes worked out properly, add-ons, and an itinerary that builds itself from your interests.
Why it worksGuests see real availability and the full price up front, so they book direct instead of paying a booking site's commission.

The whole shop is one shelf you drag through: pick up a product to see it, choose a color, save it or add it to the cart. Plus a 3D notebook you can turn and personalize with foil initials, coupons, delivery estimates and checkout.
Why it worksPersonalization and a quick, clear checkout turn browsers into buyers.

The homepage is an all-type riso poster of the whole lineup that moves to a beat: tap your own tempo or switch on the kick. Plus a stage timetable that warns about clashes, a personal schedule you can export to your calendar, and ticketing with e-tickets.
Why it worksFans plan their weekend on the site, which keeps them coming back and buying tickets early.

About
I'm the designer and developer behind Emmenra. I started out building apps and games in Unity, and I'm currently building my own app, Pingly. I bring the same care for how things work to every website. I design and build every site myself, so the person on your first call is the person doing the work.
Emmenra is a young studio, so I'd rather show than tell. The ten sites above are fully working: try the bookings, orders and checkouts before we ever talk. And you pay in stages as you see progress, with your deposit back if you don't like the first design direction.
I work remotely with small businesses and startups in the US and around the world. Calls happen in your time zone, and a private preview link lets you watch your site come together.
FAQ
It depends on the number of pages and the features you need. After a free intro call you get a fixed quote shaped around your budget, so there are no hourly surprises.
In three stages, so you only pay as you see progress: 30% to start, 40% once you have approved your homepage design, and the final 30% before launch. If you don't like the first design direction after a round of changes, your deposit is refunded. Invoices are in US dollars and paid by bank transfer, and your domain and hosting are set up in your name from day one, so you're always in control.
They're self-initiated concept websites, made to show what's possible for different kinds of businesses. Each one is fully designed and coded, and the interactive features work. Open any of them and try it.
No. I can help you plan your pages and write or polish the words. Photos can come from you, a photographer, or carefully chosen stock.
If you'll be changing things often, like menus, prices or events, we'll plan for that from the start so routine updates are easy.
Yes. I can register or connect your domain and set up hosting, SSL, email records and analytics, or work with what you already have.
You do. When the project is complete, the design, the code and the domain are yours.
